Elena is our wild child. She was the first out of the whelping box, the first with her eyes open, the first to walk, the first to do just about everything. She has a sweet and confident personality, she's full of energy and is a lot of fun to live with. Elena is a dedicated worker and has run in lead since her debut on the team at 6 months old. Four months later she finished the requirements for her WTD title. As a veteran working dog, she finished her WTDA, WLDA and WPDX titles, as determined and hardworking as ever. She has been the backbone of our team and family, an indispensable lead dog and packing companion. Every day spent with her is a gift.

Elena has been shown on a limited basis. She finished her AKC Championship with 4 majors, including a Best of Opposite win over specials and a Bred By Exhibitor Best in Show. After an 18 month absence from the show ring, she won the Working Bitch Class at the 2016 AMCA Regional and National specialties. At the age of 7, she came out in the veteran class, starting her career as a special after her momma retired. In 2019, she quickly finished her Grand Championship with several breed wins. In only a handful of show weekends, she finished out 2019 at #23 in the breed and came home with several OH group placements, including multiple G1s--all out of coat!
After the COVID hiatus, she returned to showing in the fall of 2020, winning two specialty selects, some nice breed and opposite wins, and a Best Veteran in Sweeps, finishing the year as #7 breed bitch. At 9 years of age, she finished her Bronze GCh. and finished out the 2020-2021 showing season as #14 in the breed. We are so grateful to have our best working dog honored with a place in the breed's Top 20.
Her show career felt short, but Elena has never been one to waste time and made the most of every moment. At 10 1/2, she retired from showing after coming home from the AMCA Regional Specialty. She showed in only two events and was honored in both winning a 4th place in her veteran sweeps class and a 4th place in the Working Dog Showcase.
She is a balanced and moderate girl with sound tireless movement and beautiful type. She is also just the best dog in the world, a complete joy. We are so grateful to Margaret Cleek and Vicky Jones for making her possible.
